Quinn, is an early connoisseur of music. Reggae music to be precise. Did you know that the bpm’s {beat per minute} of standard reggae is around 60bpm, which matches the average walking pace of a person. And that in turn is soothing to a newborn, as it reminds them of being in mom’s tummy and being carried around? Neither did I. And so, I was greeted with the soft sounds of reggae, last Sunday morning, when I arrived for the New Born Shoot. I’m calling this my 3rd official newborn shoot and the learning continues. Quinn turned out to be a sleepy little thing, as long as we kept her nice and warm. Sarah & Chris now know that she loves that super soft, pink blanket. My trick here was to snap a couple of shots and then quickly cover her back up and let her re-settle and it worked splendidly. Sarah requested we take some special shots of Quinn with the Red Raptors cap, to honour her brother. I hope I did a good job.
Thank you Sarah and Chris, for allowing me to capture some images of your beautiful little girl 🙂

Thank you! Still a learning curve! Thought I’d need a wide lens – but ended up using the 50mm here 🙂

If I hadn’t read your experience with newborns, I would think that you had been capturing the innocence of enfants for a very long time. Having a precious angel like Quinn to capture for posterity must take your breathe away!!! Well done Ardean!!! You have been given a very special gift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
