For Sandy
Well I guess it’s be-fitting that it’s Sandy’s birthday today! I specifically thought of you, Sandy, when I was out scouting this photo location and then saw these trees and buds 🙂

So I met up with Terry to try some headshots and portraits – last April. Ya, I sortof never got around to doing a full blog post. So… here they finally are. And ya, Terry’s eyes, are really that blue! My pics don’t do them justice 🙂

Rebecca does things differently. Winter wedding? Check! ‘First Look’ Bridal Portraits. Check! AND an un-traditional, but gorgeous blue gown. Double check! And Rebecca looked beautiful, every step of the way. I had the pleasure of watching tender moments pass between her and her mom and best friend, as she got ready. While Valter was kicking back with the guys with drinks and wings, before they got ready. They had a lovely ceremony that included the remembrance of past loved ones […]

This post is WAY overdue. I’m working on getting through the back log this week. I had so much fun on this engagement session with Leigh-Anne and Ron, that happened back in Nov! They are now married and I have their wedding post in the pipe, ready to go. We met up in Streetsville and wandered the streets, looking for good spots to shoot. We started off at the train tracks and ended up on the other side of town, […]

I was on a much needed, mini-vacay-staycay the last week and a bit. My sister was kind enough to put me up in her apartment, in the city. It was SO good to just relax and eat healthy and not think. At least not think about all the things I have to do. I got to go out walking and brought my cam along for some pics – check ’em out below. Ooh, and I did a couple shoots while […]

I did a short headshot session today. And learned some lessons. Not that these were things I didn’t already know – but I was trying to fight it – to see if I could make it work. What am I talking about? Light! Good light is good light and not good light is Bad light. Period. Shooting at high noon (12-12:30pm) is a major challenge. It can be done, but you really have to find yourself some good shade (or […]

We had the loveliest snow over night last Friday (Feb 17th) and woke up to snow covered everything on Saturday more. It was the ‘pretty’ kind of snow, that lays softly on tree branches and rooftops. I took some pics that snowy morning and the day after. Interesting to see how the view changes. a lovely front door and squirrel tracks 🙂

Looking at Zack Arias’ Project #de_VICE, it’s amazing how prevalent smart device’s really are. Then I ask myself, what did we do 10-15 years ago? Has the smart device replaced the book? If you’re on a train/bus now, all you see are smart phones. 15 years ago, there would have been a lot more books. Has this led to the decline of book reading? I’m a reader (although I’ve been on a long draught now, not due to my phone) […]
