When you capture a bit of light coming from behind the subject, it adds a beautiful dimensionality to the image. In these images, the back light is not particularly strong, but I like it.

This image is in front of Mount Sinai Hospital, I was across the street, which is actually a 4 lane wide
boulevard. I had to be very steady as I was shooting with a very slow shutter (1/15) and long lens (250mm) @iso1600, as it was fairly dark by this time.
