Not yet 2, but do you see that personality? Nurtured by her mother LaMoi, soul AND body. I had the absolute pleasure of hanging out with this duo and a chance to photograph just a small part of their relationship. We had so much fun. She is such a ball of energy, so smart and if I could, I would have stolen her away. This is my favourite type of family shoot to do, where it’s just about hanging out and capturing real images, documenting relationships, in a really natural and authentic way. Pretty cool 🙂

What’s also pretty cool is that now that I have photographed LaMoi for my project and now in her role as mother, on Saturday, I’ll have a 3rd opportunity to photograph her, as the artist she also is. I will be in attendance in official capacity at the “Raw. Poetry. Soul: The Queens’ Edition” event that she is hosting and performing in. It promises to be a wonderful evening of shared art and connection.
