i shot film — Pedestrian Sunday at Kensington

November 21, 2011 by Ardean Peters

First roll through my ‘new’ Canon Rebel 2000.  Shot with T-MAX 100 Professional B/W film and my 85mm f1.8. Stefano invited me out on Sunday Oct 30, 2011 to the last Pedestrian Sunday of the season. So glad I went. SO much fun!

Laura – Toronto Portrait Photographer

November 10, 2011 by Ardean Peters

On an early Sunday morning in Oct, with the Sun rising I met Laura to shoot. We walked through grasses, across tracks and into gulley’s, with me searching for the ‘light’. Laura bravely balanced on beams, looking agile and strong, while I crawled in the grass, to ‘get’ the shot. In and out of bushes, we followed the light. Nzirambi Education Fund

November 3, 2011 by Ardean Peters

Some photos I captured during the Nzirambi Photo Exhibition fundraising event for the children of the Orphanage. It was hosted at Pikto in Toronto’s Distillery District. Visit here >>> Nzirambi Education Fund and here African Walk About to find out more information and to donate. The beautiful black and white portraits of the children of the orphanage, are by Toronto Photographer Brian Pieters.

Amber in the Gardens | Toronto Portrait Photography

November 1, 2011 by Ardean Peters

I love Amber’s face. I love the lines. Her amazing green eyes. She is a pleasure to photograph. And this time, she introduced me to the Parkwood Estate in Oshawa. Parkwood is an amazingly beautiful mansion and grounds, completed in 1917 and home originally to “R. Samuel McLaughlin (founder of General Motors of Canada”. We actually arrived around midday, so not the optimal time to be shooting! We were lucky though to find some beautiful shade at the top of […]

Baby Jasmine — Toronto Family Photographer

October 30, 2011 by Ardean Peters

Jasmine was still comfortable in her mom’s tummy, when I did this Maternity Session with Fran and Jeff, just 3 weeks before her arrival into the world. It’s always amazing to be in the presence of a beautiful, perfect little being. You can’t help but say aww, and wonder at the small miracle. But, don’t let this little one fool you. At only 3 weeks, she knows exactly what she wants; to be in mom’s arms. Not in mom’s arms; […]
