When you capture a bit of light coming from behind the subject, it adds a beautiful dimensionality to the image. In these images, the back light is not particularly strong, but I like it. This image is on Queen St., in front of Nathan Phillips Square. I was shooting long lens (250mm) at 1/125, iso1600 and f5.6, walking towards her. I love how calm she looks.

silhouetted
As the Street Car passed at Spadina and Adelaide, the sunlight streaming through the car, created a beautiful silhoutte. Shot at 116mm, 1/4000, f5 and iso100.

window gazing
Seen as I was walking past the Richmond-Adelaide centre. This was a quick grab. No time to really think and lucky I made the shot. This was shot on a slow shutter (1/10) and long lens (250mm), iso400 at f5.6. I think the composition of the 3 dark figures works well with the focus actually being on the purse.

colour blocking
Seen at University and Queen during the a.m. rush hour. Liking the bold colour blocked skirt and retro style slouch boots. Shot at 250mm, 1/200, f5.6 and iso400.
